Chevrolet Corvette General Motors all American first true sports cars built in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Since 1954 the Chevy Corvette has been evolving (metamorphosis) for a better term into America’s favorite sports car. It was made back then from a revolutionary new composite material called fiberglass. It was a little under powered when it first launched and sales of the car where dismal at best.

Well guess what, the bumps in the road where short lived for the new Corvette since the early days from the first generation C1 Corvette that eventually came with the 4.3 liter V8 engine with a three speed transmission which propelled sales to the sky. To the next several generations of C2, C3, C4, C5, and C6 came with a big block 427 cubic inch motor, a hard top and then convertible. As the Corvette evolved it created the first of its kind car enthusiast. That right the first car nuts were born into American muscle cars.

The Corvette enthusiast found out it wasn’t just a pleasure in owning a Chevy Vette. It was refreshing to own a car that had so many custom aftermarket accessories available. The owners realized the can ad there own personal touch and restyling the Corvette accessories was born. The exterior can be garnished with a body kit or car spoiler. The engine can have turbos or superchargers. The wheels can be outfitted with custom aftermarket chrome works of art with thick gripping rubber tires to transfer the horsepower to the pavement.

The interior was always kept simple and clean until a little company called Simon Wood Dash started making wood grain dash boards in 1982 for Corvettes. Since then the Corvette wood dash kit has made many technological changes to keep up with the transformation of the Vette over the years. The personal restyling efforts from Corvette owners made the vette interior into there own personal temple. They wanted the interior to have a more race car look, so we created a two on two twill Corvette carbon fiber dash kit. Then others wanted a more refined luxury interior to upgrade the auto upholstery with there plush carpeting and leather stitching steering wheel and Connolly leather seats. So we created the Corvette Blackwood wood grain dash kit. Over the years Corvette owners educated themselves about aftermarket accessories that they can ad on there vehicles.

The loyalty of the Chevrolet Corvette owner is more then amazing. They are some of the most true to the brand loyal customers that General Motors has. The next generation C7 Vette is just around the corner and the soon unveiling of the Corvette Blue Devil with a possible new LS9 engine that will start off in the price range $100,000 plus is already stirring up fans who want to place there deposits and get on the waiting list. That’s nuts since the car might never make it into production.
